Friday ~ March 12th ![]() Eef & The Groovy Blues Express 9pm ~ 1am $5 Cover http://www.eefguitar.com/ This dynamic, groovy lady is getting attention on both sides of the Atlantic. An Amsterdam native, Eef came to the US in 1999, where she's been the lead/rhythm guitar player & backup vocalist for numerous bands. In 2007, Eef started singing lead and writing her own songs, resulting in her "stunningly beautiful"* debut album 'Aqua'. Since the release of Aqua, things are rolling. The album does not only get airplay on the local stations, but as well in France, Belgium, The Netherlands and Argentina. Eef's style is bluesy, groovy, funky & soulful, and she clearly belongs on stage. "If her long legs and sexy accent are not enough, this girl can play! And she's so fun and unique!"** Her voice has been compared to Susan Tedeschi, Chrissy Hinde and Sade, and some folks call her 'Buddy Gal', which Eef of course finds totally cool. To support the release of 'Aqua', Eef made a tour in Oklahoma & Arkansas, as well as in her home country The Netherlands. Meanwhile, she is steadily earning a reputation as one of the grooviest and most soulful guitarists in the Denver area.
